About Us

CheckSurf Inc. was founded in 2021 by faculty and researchers as a spin-off company through the University of Waterloo Commercialization Office, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

The CheckSurf mission is to develop and provide practical test methods for verifying the antimicrobial activity of materials so that end-users have confidence in the materials over the long term.

Test methods are available for antimicrobial surfaces and materials using copper, silver, photocatalysts, and other compounds (patent pending).
